Glucose Reading Is Unavailable Try Scanning Again In 10 Minutes – Sep 7, 2023The FreeStyle Libre needs a 12-hour calibration period before its readings are considered accurate. This calibration period starts after your first glucose reading and sometimes this message will appear while the sensor is acclimating to your body. After the calibration period is up, you should be able to scan your sensor again without issue.

Jul 6, 2023I’ve had this message every so often on several sensors, usually it resolves itself when scanning after 10 minutes, sometimes on the second attempt, I.e. after 20 minutes. It’s important to wait at least 10 minutes before re-scanning, otherwise another scan within the 10 minute window just resets the timer and you have to wait yet another

Locate the Freestyle Libre 2 app, tap on it, and then tap on “Storage & Cache” (the wording may vary slightly depending on your Android version). Tap “Clear Cache” and then try opening the app again. A “Sensor Error” message appears when the sensor is temporarily unable to provide a glucose reading; for instance, during intense exercise. With the FreeStyle Libre 3 system, simply tap the information symbol for more information, and then check again after the duration of time specified in the message.
